Sturbridge Lion's 2009 Annual River Race at Westville Dam
On Sunday April 26th the Sturbridge Fire Dept. provided rescue support for the Sturbridge Lion's Annual River Race at Westville Dam.
Members of Sturbridge Fire's Dive Team set up as swift water rescue team in order to provide participants in the canoe race any emergency services they may need. This was done due to the dangers assiocated with water rapids along the race course.
As has been in years past the services of the Dive Team were provided free of charge with members volunteering there time. Below are some pictures from that day's event.
