The mission of the Sturbridge Council on Aging is to promote the physical, emotional and economic well-being of elder adults and to promote their participation in all aspects of community life.
The Sturbridge Council on Aging and Senior Center address the issues of Sturbridge residents over 60 years old. However, there are several reasons and circumstances when younger people or people from other communities may want to participate in programs and activities at our Center.
We invite children and grandchildren of seniors to call or visit the Director regarding concerns or questions about services and programs available for seniors either at the Center or through other agencies. Seniors are involved in intergenerational activities in the community, including reading in schools and teaching after-school programs. Students, Scouts and church groups help seniors through community service projects.
