Internet Access
The Joshua Hyde Library is connected to the Internet with computers available for the public to use.
The Joshua Hyde Library does not monitor, and has no control over, the information accessed through the Internet. Information on the Internet may be reliable and current or it may be inaccurate, out-of-date, or unavailable at times. Patrons access the Internet at their own discretion. As with other library materials, a child's use of the Internet is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian.
Use of the Internet is limited to one person, for one hour a day. It is not our intention to extend an individual's use by signing up friends and family.
Reservations to use the Internet may be made ahead of time by calling the library. We will hold the computer for 10 minutes. If you can't come for your pre-arranged time, please call us to cancel.
Staff will be happy to assist patrons with Internet use as time permits.
Interlibary Loan
Interlibrary loans (ILLs) may be requested for materials not in our collection at the Joshua Hyde Library, provided you have a valid library card. Your request will be processed and filled faster and more accurately if you have complete bibliographic information (author, book title, publisher and date, or periodical title, date and pages). ILL searches can often take 4-6 weeks but may be filled much sooner depending on the location and availability of the material requested.
Fax
The Joshua Hyde Library provides fax service during library hours. The cost per page is $2.00 for the first 2 pages, $1.00 for each additional page. Faxes may also be received at the library for you at a fee. Please see the librarian at the front desk for details and assistance.
Meeting Room
Located on the basement level, the library has a Meeting Room available for public use. There is a charge for for-profit groups. There is no charge for non-profit groups. Activities must meet library guidelines and reservations are required.
If refreshments will be served a $10.00 custodial fee is required.
