COMMUNITY RESOURCES COORDINATOR
The role of the Community Resources Coordinator (CRC) is to provide seniors with information that will help them resolve senior issues. The CRC is available to make home visits or to meet seniors and their families at the Senior Center to answer their questions. The range of issues is broad and may include housing, medical insurance, fuel assistance, food banks, homemaker services, caregiver information, and local support groups.
The CRC also links seniors with programs that help them stay safe and maintain connections to the community. Information about the Sturbridge Are You OK? telephone reassurance service, the Friendly Visitor service that provides seniors with weekly companionship visits, the Library in Motion service that brings library materials to the senior's home, and the Medical Transportation service that provides rides for medical appointments for seniors who cannot take Elderbus is available during a visit with the Community Resources Coordinator.
