SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) (formerly Food Stamps), www.mass.gov/dta is a federally funded food assistance program that is administered by The Office of transitional Assistance. Monthly benefits, for qualified seniors, are made available on a Bay State Access Card which works as a debit card at the checkout counter when groceries are purchased.
