The following are photos of the exterior of Town Hall that will be addressed as part of the renovation:
The above four photographs show areas where there is no cement between bricks. The entire town hall exterior would be re-pointed as part of the project and the bricks cleaned and replaced where necessary. In some areas, bricks can be pulled out.
The above photo shows an area where the Public Works Department filled voids in the exterior brick work with spray-in foam to fill a gap that was open to the weather.
This photo shows staining on the bricks. The entire exterior brickwork will be re-pointed and cleaned.
The photo above shows missing trim work on the front of the Town Hall and the need to repaint.
The photo above shows one of the pillars that is rotting and the bottom shows the other rotting pillar. These pillars are to be replaced as part of the renovation project. The two outer pillars were replaced several years ago after the pillar closest to Maple Street fell off the building.
The above photo is a temporary repair of the fire escape where it is attached to the building on the second floor of the Town Hall. A new fire escape is proposed as part of the renovation.
The above photo shows additional trimwork that is rotting and falling off the Town Hall. All trimwork will be repaired and/or replaced and the exterior trim of the building will be repainted.
