Updated 12/1/11:  ReBuild Western Massachusetts:  MassDOER Program Offered

Tornadoes touched down in several communities in Western Massachusetts on June 1, 2011. ReBuild Western Massachusetts is a program designed to provide over $8 million in financial assistance to help residents impacted by the storm rebuild using energy efficiency practices and renewable energy technologies. Here you can find the most up-to-date information on the program and this page will be updated as new information becomes available. Additional funds are available for income-eligible home owners.  For more information abou the ReBuild program you may call toll-free (877) 524-1325 or email rebuildwma@icfi.com. You may also be eligible for additional energy efficiency incentives through Mass Save.

Representatives from the MassSupport Network available to offer education, referrals related to self-care, stress management and coping skills to those affected by the June 1 tornado.  Members may go door-to-door and will carry photo identification cards and wearing blue shirts and jackets.  This is a free, confidential service.  You may reach MassSupport Network toll free by calling 855-915-8047 or via the Web at www.masssupportnetwork.blogspot.com.

Impacted residents still requiring assistance may contact the Volunteer Resource Center at 774-402-4387 or by email to volunteer@town.sturbridge.ma.us.  Also, the state Division of Insurance has a help line established for those people needing assistance with tornado-related insurance claims.  The number is: (888) 563-4467.
